We typically suggest between 7 and 10 years depending on the color of your home, the sun exposure, and the times it has been painted before. Idaho has massive temperature swings and during summer months longer daylight cycles. The paint on your home has to deal with many conditions during its lifetime. Yes, we are one of the few painting contractors that also has a color consultant and designer on the team. We offer 1-hour on-site color consultation services for all of our clients, and if you are a DIYer, we can help you as well for a small fee.

We suggest that you do not paint samples directly on the house; instead, order sample sheets, draw-downs from Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, or make your own sample boards. This allows you to move the samples around to see the colors in different light at different times of the day.

Not all painting is the same, and for that reason, it is hard to approximate pricing without an on-site visit to assess the complexity, home size, surface prepartion needed, color selections, and special considerations. On average a small single story home painting using premium painting and prep materials will cost around 7,000 and a large multi-story home could exceed 13,000. Its best to get an estimate to know what your painting project will cost.
